How much is the tuition cost of the GA AIT program?
The tuition cost of the the AIT program is $950. The tuition costs are the same for either ACH or FCH enrollment. Tuition includes (optional) dual enrollment in a GA CPR/AED course. The GA CPR/AED course is not a requirement, however, what you will learn in the course is that there is a state requirement for at least one person to be CPR certified on each shift in the ACH/FCH. GA desires all of our ACH/FCH Administrators to be best prepared when practicing administration.
What is the difference between Adult Care Homes (ACH) and Family Care Homes (FCH)?
NC Adult care homes are homes who have been licensed for seven or more residents. Family care homes are homes licensed with a bed/resident capacity numbering from two to six residents. ACH and FCH also use different rule books of operation. Visit https://info.ncdhhs.gov/dhsr/ for more information.
What is the difference between ACH and FCH administration?
One of the primary difference between ACH and FCH administration is the type of certificate/approval received from NC DHSR. An adult care home administrator, who meets all the states requirements and passes the state exam, will receive an actual certificate from DHSR. A family care home administrator, who meets all the states requirements and passes the state exam, will receive an approval letter from DHSR. ACH administrators also have the option to practice administration in either an ACH or a FCH. A FCH administrator can only practice administration in a family care home. Visit https://info.ncdhhs.gov/dhsr/ for more information.
